I took the power-trol box off the back of my 53 G but left the plunger(piston)in the tractor along with the rock shaft. Will this hurt anything to just leave the piston laying in there?I didn't know if anything would fall down inside. That little booger weighed more than I imagined.Later fellas,Jack(TN).

I don't think it will really hurt anything to leave it in there, although I did remove the rockshaft (actually rockshafts) and piston/cylinder assembly from mine. There's quite a few more pounds to be saved by removing the rest of the assembly, as the rest of the parts are fairly heavy - probably another 30 lbs or maybe even a little more. I made up a little plate to bolt in place of the rockshaft valve and cover the hole.
