I know 70's don't make good pullers. Can you put .125 720/730 pistons in a 70. I know you can exchange the injectors and heads, but is there anything else. If you have a good strong and fast running 70 engine, will the faster gear benifit, so you don't spin out? Any help would be great.

Are you the same person that keeps asking about pulling with a 70D on several sites? The answers keep coming back the same, what do you want to hear? Just make certain she can do the factory 55 or so HP 1125 rpm at position 12 on the injector rack. Then try full rack and she might make 65hp and lots of smoke. 70-75 HP is all a sound 720/730 spec engine with low restriction intake/exhaust/full rack will make at 1200 rpm. Try the 8000lb class as is and save your $ while figuring out balance, tire pressure etc.

Find a set of 13mm pumps from a later tractor.. the 70D should have the 10mm pumps.. and start with the 830 injector tips... Make sure U have good charge pump psi... with the better head, pumps and injectors you will have a 730D.. (not sure if the cam was different.) Money spent on the head will go a long ways.. JDGnut
