Isn't there a portable scale that you roll one tire onto? Kinda like a big bathroom scale? I thought there was such a beast.

Just come to central Illinois. The State Police would be more than happy to set up portables to weigh you!!! Inspect the @%#$ out of your truck and trailer too!!!

Now I never did this but always thought about it. These big portable T.M.R. mixers use electronic scales. I see alot of them where the mixer is junk but the scales still work. Most of them use 4 or more weight bars. All you would have to do would be to make a portable platform. The sled that came to the county fair had a setup like that, used it up to 12500. You would have to see what the mixer bars would take but most of the ones around here would take 7500 easy. Let me know if you think this would work. I can't see why not. Tom

Our club bought 4 strain bars and the computer from a company that sells scales. We built the platform using retanglar steel tubing with a treated wood cover. The strain bars are located in ea. corner with steel pads attached to them for contact to the ground. We also have it setup to jack it up and remove the wheels when we want to use it. It doesn't have springs so its nasty to tow.
