I seen someone laugh at the J.D. B post. There is a guy around here that has a B that has 85 H.P. His name is Craig Ward, if anyone in here knows him, they know the tractor. He also has a G that supposedly has 120 HP.both have long strokes, spark plugs in front of head and the B has power block. I noticed the G had a 70 head and carb set-up on it.He pulls both in open gear classes

Absolutely. Pretty much anything IS possible if you've got the time, skill, inclination, and money to build it or pay someone else to build it. It's called cubic dollars.

Someone that pulls here (north IL.) has a hot JD (not a B) that 600cid. On Alchol and it has a bark all its own. It whips up on quite a few of the boys around here with ease.

Don't take it so hard: I think your buddy might have streached it a bit with 100 hp. A lot of guys brag about their horse power. A buddy of mine had an unstyled A with as much as could be packed in it and it dynoed @ 71 horse. The guy that sold it to him claimed it had 140 horse. The guys over at the unofficial Allis board are telling John Deere Jokes. Their at about 30 on page 2. I have an unstyled 1937 A, 1948 styled D, 1951 styled D and a 720 so I as you can see I like the John Deeres but my 1950 Moline GB will out pull them all day. Happy Valentines day. Jerry
