I am trying to find information on boring and stroking of the buda 153. The sleeve can be factory overbored to 3-9/16", and there isn't much left to go further. I would like to go at least 4.0". The problem is the block is wet sleeved and I can not find anyone who has done a buda or who would do it. It doesn't look like I could stroke it more than a 1/8" due to camshaft to rod clearence. I need all the help and h.p. I can get.(WC Allis's) I must run water at least through the head. The club I pull with doesn't have any h.p. limit just 20% over on rpm's so no rules will be broken. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Some of the BIG BOYS offset the cam to get more rod clearance. This cost BUCKS, but it makes hp. Also, water can be tranfered to critical spots by way of external piping. Again, it cost bucks, but bad do you want to be BAD?

I would like to keep it looking externaly stock. Do you have any names of these machine shops that do this work, and can they be trusted? Thanks.

There's a place in South-Central Indiana that everyone say's does very good work and will take you as far as your wallet will go. Try posting a message for THE RED, he might know their address and number. Good luck.
