What piston serial numbers are the reference numbers for different M&W 4 1/8 inch pistons telling me what elevation piston they are? They say "More Power" on the side and are raised pistons about the same as a IH Firecrater except they do not have the concave area as the Firecrater does. I need help knowing whether they are better than my IH Firecrater pistons.

sp-75 pistons are standard compression 6.4 the originals were 6.1. sp-76 are the higher compression m&w pistons. they were meant for propane or gasoline use with a low compression head. they are 7.4 compression ratio.

Randy, Thank you for your reply. My pistons have AP-75 imprinted on them. Not SP-75. Is there a difference? Thanks. Jim

M&W pistons have printed on them "Add Power" and inside on the skirt is printed AP-75. Maybe this will help you provide me some insite as to specific information about the pistons. Thank you in advance for any information. Jim
