I'd like to take my Gleanor E motor and have the crank stroked to 6" and bore it to 4.5" - I've got a motor now thats 4.75"-4.125 and its lasted 3 seasons and going strong but I with this much stroke I'll have to grind the block and bore it. I just want it to last if I'm putting this much money in it. What do you think?

I think their are quite a few that size in Missouri, however, isn't it a complete waste of money given the tire rules in the smaller classes?
A properly done 4-1/8" bore X 5-1/4 stroke engine will yeild 90 plus horsepower while your proposed combination yeilds about 105 max. It will cost about twice as much to gain 15% in power and I still haven't found that magic little tire that can hold 90 horses.

We built a WC years ago it was 4.5 by 5 . If I was to do it again I would use a steel deck plate to tie the top together and give you some extra rod length. 2in. rod journal you should get the 6" stroke tucked in. We did crack on the outside left of block by center main, but it never gave any trouble.
