I may be crossing the line here as far as "advertising" goes, but I figured this would be a good place to start as it's related to a non profit org. We are a small club in northeast Arkansas that, after trying real hard, just couldn't make it work. We had some participation from the area, but just not enough. So, we are shutting down and will be offering a home made but well built pulling sled to anyone who could use it. It was built for our little track of about 150 ft. It is ground driven, adjustable for track length, and works just like the professional ones. It has concrete slabs for weights. It worked very well for our little shows. We never had a great amount of turn out, but it worked fine for the old tractors to pull and gave the spectators something to watch; and it did work quite well. Our club organized all legal and such as a non profit org with the IRS. In the set up, we allowed for something like this to happen and decided back then to donate all of our money to the Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. if the club didn't make it. So, that's where we are. The bigger clubs we are acquainted with have their own sleds, so I figured someone here on this bulletin board might be interested. As far as money goes, any reasonable donation would be appreciated. It will all go to the Children's Hospital as we will be making a formal donation sometime in April during their fund raising telethon with what funds we have left. The sled was built by a club member for just what the materials cost which was about $300-$400. The property has been sold, and the sled has to be moved as soon as possible. We are only asking for any reasonable donation for the sled if it's possible. Obviously any more money we can donate would help those kids out in the long run. If a club needs it and doesn't have the money, then they can come get it and we can work something out later on. Please email me for pictures and more info. Thanks for your time! -Jeff <> 870 892 0338 evenings
