Where i'm from they had a 500.00 protest fee to take off pan and check stroke and bore, cubic inch check,OK. All summer everybodys whining about one or two tractors winning alot, cheaters cheaters, these guys say there not to big on cubes. Rules changed to 100.00 this year to take off pan, guess whos whining now, the two who ain't cheatin. go figure. If there legal what diffence does it make. I think its good idea, either put the money or SHUT UP.

I wish they had that rule here. I would go to the pull just to get the $100 to drop my oil pan. Better $ than winning the pull.

Because, stock car guys have all week to put them back together, they have crews to do it, which is there full time job. They also have spare motors, and they pull the motors down alot more than we have to. I, for one, am NOT going to have someone tear my motor apart, just because some shmuck is mad that I beat him, and he has $500 to throw away to irritate me. I think I speak for alot of people on this one here, I do not have time to put a motor back together every other week, just because someone wants to look inside. This is just a hobby, not a fulltime job, and I don't make $500,000 a year from purse money. I'll go go sit in a boat with a fishin' pole and a case of beer if you want to start that non-sense.

WELL first off NO ONE! and I meen NO ONE! is going to take my motor apart and F##k it all up! these Jacka$$es can't even run a fair pulling club, let alone something as complex as an internal combustion engine, you mite as well get the three stooges to do the work! it would be the same thing.AND all for $500?.
NATPA is about to change there is a storm comming and it will blow out the crap that is in place now.

first of all you don,t have to take a motor apart to check the cubic inche,s----- just use a P&G machine they been using them since the late 50,s.second the teck crew never pull,s a tractor owner,s motor apart the man that owen,s it does.third a complete tear down should never run more than 100.00, just the cost up the gasket,s.fourth gas check should run around 25.00. and the specivic gravity of fuel must have a point at both end,s not just the uper scale.fith the rules must be riten so there are no loop holes, not just what is easy to enforce----- we you keep the rules tite you will have a better pull and many more tractor,s.even top fuel racing in NHRA-IHRA and NASCAR has a cubic inch limet, checking lift on cam-shaft,s is very easy to do i have done as many as 30 to 40 on a given night at a major drag race.....and also the man that does not want to tear down has 2 option,s wen he leves-----he can go right or left wen he goes threw the back gate.....
