Radiator question

If you wanted a lighter tractor could u run without water and a radiator and only let it run for a little while as long as u used a bigger fan like a 6 blade. Or could another option be just plain running less water? just curious.

You can run them with no water,but you would have to be very careful of how hot it gets. I like to get a tractor up to temp before I put any kind of a strain on it. With no water your engine would start out kind of cold then be cooking about time you get back to your trailer. You would need a smaller tractor to pull it around in the pits. I really wouldn't want to do it.
