Its me again, i ask alot of questions i know but waht can i say i need to find these out for later this summer. Would I be able to trust the regular fasthitch on my 706 or should i build some fancy hitch. My welding skills arent the best and my checkbook isn't overflowing so i cant really get a fancy hitch right now. The sled i pull with requires the hith to be 20 inches off the ground and past the pto shaft at the minimum. Will i be able to trust the fasthitch or do they break frequently? Thanks again for the advice.

check around your salvage yards; ih made a fixed position kit for the fast hitch. it's basically two sockets that the lift rods go into instead of the lift arms. not sure how much height the stock rods will give you, but it would give a decent starting point for either parts or a plan for a fixed (or manually adjustable) height system.

I pull a 450D in the 8000# the only problem I had
was the drawbar will bend down silty.I just take it to a machine shop at the end of the season and
put it on a press,cost 2or3 dollors.Other than
that I trust mine.

Read the rules where you plan to pull carefully. Rules around here usually say you cannot hitch to a Hydraulic Lift. This is for safety reasons. If you can lock it in one position, it might be ok. We custom make our own adjustable hitches for our farm tractors when we pull them. I have seen sleds hooked to Farmall Fast Hitches here in Northeast Ohio and they haven't had any problems/failures (yet). What classes are you planning on pulling in? A D-ring bolted to a Fast Hitch drawbar should work ok.

I am pulling in the #8500 and #9500 classes. I am pretty sure i can lock it. Last year what i did was unbolted the D ring from the fast hitch and put it where my normal drawbar rests right under the PTO. This worked good expcept it is 5 inches too low and does give me maximum torque. If i could raise it more from there i would but it runs into the PTO housing and you cant get a decent bolt in after that. I would like to make a custom hitch but i dont have the welding skill or money to buy one. Thanks to everyone for all of their help.
