I recently bought a 340 farmall and am thinking about pulling it. Any pro's or con's that I should be aware of? I cannot find the horsepower rating for it anywhere and any help on that issue would be welcome. oh yeah it is a 58'. SN 2212. Thanks Matt

I always thought they were 38hp pto. 42 with 1/8" oversize sleeves. They are an impressive puller in a stock class.Seem to be balanced well. But as with anything they can be outdone in the hp dept quickly and they are only 135 cu in to begin with. They can handle alot of rpm.around 2250 stock.Must be where they get there power.

Well I pulled it saterday in the #6500 class and took 5th out of 26 tractors. The only ones that beat me were 2 450's a 460 and a 560. I had a couple hundred pounds to much on the front I think. The front never really came up till I stared to spin out. I never even had to pull the T/A back. H.P. I do not believe is going to be the problem. In 1st low it is going 1.2 mph. The tractor weighs in at 6050pds with no suit case weights. Any suggestions or input would be appreciated. Thanks Matt
