WHEN you index spark plugs your are making shure that the gap of the plug is faceing the piston, now it may take a dozen or so plugs to get them all the same, indexing plugs make a big diff.on a motor that runs RPM.On a stock motor it helps when your running "HOT" or"HIGH" voltage and your GAP is wider.
Hope your not all confused now!

Where exactly do you point the gap of the plug? Towards the intake valve, exhaust value????? ???

all joking aside, it does make a diffence, mine did run alot smoother and was alittle mor responsive. on a stock tractor i don't think that it would make that big of a difference. you wont waste you time if you do though
