I'm afraid I'm not alot of help either, but maybe this will help a little. To find the diameter of the metric hub, just multiply the 92mm by .039. That will give you a diameter of 3.588 inches.

If you would like to know the amount to be removed, just subtract 3.588 (hub dia.) from 3.625 (axle dia.), resulting in .037 inch. That is close to the gap of many spark plugs. depending on the design of the hub, you may not have to do much if any modifying.

If it were me, i would try to grind the excess material from the hub, that way if you were not happy with it later on, you wouldn't have to replace a difficult shaft to reverse the modification. You could use a small die-grinder with a cut-off wheel to get inside the hub diameter.

Hope this Helps, Pat

Saw that no one had answered your question. I don't know about Inches verses mm, but I do know that in tractor pulling-restoration sometimes you have to make things work that may not be completely 100% the way they were intended to be. Good old american ingenuity, elbow grease, and a 4 1/2 inch grinder can make a lot of things work. Good luck.
