I can tell you that the man running the tach was at the west end of the building checking tractors both days. We have always checked every finalist in the 5500 classic as they go out the door. We have always randomly checked tractors as a re-inforcement. Every tractor is weighed and drawbar checked before they pull.

"we check the ones that are over" is true. One of the flag man's duties is to listen for anything obvious and get it checked out. More that one puller has had devices that changed the throttle stop settings, and been caught.

Once again, we run an honest and fair event. If you know of something that was missed or overlooked, I would like to know about it. Meaning, I want to know the puller/tractor and what was wrong with it.

Thank you,

Jon Aller

I am assuming that you were there. Our numbers have been going down for the last 4 years. There are so many places that you can pull these days, in the Winter, that we loose a lot of pullers from more that 2 states away.

What two thirds of the tractors didn't we check? What buddies are you talking about?

We run an honest show and give everyone a fair shake. If you were there and had a question or concern, did you voice it to one of the crew?

Thank you,

Jon Aller

Jon:
I have been coming to the Sigourney pulls for many years. I think 1990 was the first year, I'm not sure, can't remember. I have pulled there also and have gone home after midnight on Saturday nites a few times after watching and pulling the 5500 classics. I have to say this: "Congratulations to your crew" as they all do an exellant job at there jobs of taking care of things, especially the two guys on the track crew. They sure know their dirt and how to make a nice track out of what was frozen Tundra on the previous Tue. or Wed. If anyone was unhappy with the way things worked, "IT IS VERY EVIDENT THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE HAPPY NO MATTER WHERE THEY PULLED." Good job everyone... Jack Blaylock

For my first visit to Sigourney I thought Jon and crew did an excellant job of keeping things moving. I wish our pulls were half as organized here in wisconsin, good job!!

Jon Aller and his crew do a great job making it fair. On Saturday night they ran 70 tractors through in about 3 hours and I think they did a heck of a job keeping to there schedule and making it go as quickly as possible. This is our favorite pull of the year. Thanks Jon, Kevin Flatt

Good pull in the championship. First time I ever saw a W-9 idle in third gear and have enough power to do it like that one of yours. David Brooks

That was third gear which is the same as factory
fourth. It was also the third win for that tractor, running that same gear or speed each time. Craig
