Just got back from the pull, and I have to say Central Ohio needs some work. The MM G that pulled in the 5500 and 6000 Div. 4 classes was WAY over rpms. He sounded like our Moline when we take it off of the govenor. And then they let what looked like a guy paying entry fees as he was hooking to the sled. This was with Begeman's old Case. My God that thing can run. It will be the death of Div. 4 in Ohio. There isn't anything here that can run with it.

do any of you guys that went to the Dekalb Pull know if anyone with the last name of Bourgoine from New York won in any of the classes? It would have been a Farmall M pulling.

I got back from the DeKalb Pull and I must say that sled called PALSTINE,the red one,WHAT A PIECE OF $hIt,The pan would drop at different places everytime, they were ALWAYS working on it,they worked on it both days, and sometimes between tractors,HOW FAIR IS THAT!, I had the pull taped and on the tape you can see when the pan would drop,IT WAS ALWAYS in a different spot!,it got to the point we were picking the winner before the tractor would stop pulling, and what a mess they made of the 5500-IV,these guys let the CASE pull the sled that was set for 5000-IV The CASE was declared the winner of the 5500-IV when it pulled in the 5000-IV class, and when several people tryed to explain the mistake they made, thay were told that YOU are wrong and that they were right, all the PLACE winners got shafted. Getting back to the Palstine sled,EVERYONE I talked to told me the same thing that EVERYWERE that sled shows up there is always a MESS!,The pull had a lot of tractors and maybe they wern't ready for this many pullers.HEY GUYS GET IT TOGETHER SHOW US YOUR BETTER THAN THE N.A.T.P.A.

i don't know if i have ever been more upset. my tractor was in second. a bunch of pullers came up to me and said that the pan never dropped when the case pulled. that tractor is certainly more powerful than mine but it is not seventyfive feet better. in the next class when things were set right it was fairly close. my heart goes out to mike vondriska who rightly won the 5500 div. four class.

from what i saw of that class, there was some questions but the club running the pull handled it fair. unfortunately the case is 75 feet better than your M and at least 50 feet better than vondriskas 88. the sled guy tried his best to run a good show!

Give me a break DA! The case was in the wrong class. It should win by 75 feet. Its a div.5 tractor pulling in a div.4 class.

Dont be surprised about Begemans old tractor, because its a div.5 tractor pulling in div.4,and COATPA let him do it again. They said after the State Fair he would have to go to div.5. Lets face it,antiques are onley there to pay the bills, there not wanted, but have the numbers and the money.

I can't believe how unorganized they were there. I along with many others were pre registered and we still had yo wait in that long slow line, so what was the sence of pre registering? I can't see why they could not have a second place for the preregistered people to get there numbers to put on there tractors.

There was a case that was allowed to hook in the 5500 div4 after 5000 div4 had already started. The first tractor in 5000 took it out the door so they had to reset the sled. But this case showed up after his class had ended and they reset the sled, supposedly to the way it was for 5500 div4, and let him pull. Then they reset the sled again for the 5000 to start again. If this wasn't bad enough the case was way over rpm too.

I realize that COATPA has some problums as far as organization and rule enforcement, however if all of you are so mad DON'T GO!!! stay home insted of complaining. Even with it's shortcomings there is tons of great iron there and it is a really fun pull.

I stayed home last year because of this kind of BS but went this year to give them another chance to get their ____ together. Not to mention you only get 2 hooks, their line up system could use some work and another scale and the hook fees are $30. I'll stay home next year and might not go again at all. There are enough indoor pulls around where I can pick and choose.

In regards to night show hook fees being $10.00, everyone paid the same $30.00 fees,I know because I worked in the office signing people up to classes.
