Hi all. I have a Deutz D-65 that I am thinking of pulling this summer. As far as I can tell it was made starting in 1957 so it makes our antique classes. Anyone know anything about upgrading these? I could sure use some help with this. I wanted to pull something differant and I think I sure got something different. Thanks for the help. John

You donīt have a D65. This one never has been built. Believe it is a F4L514/7. This engine has been used also in Trucks. They get appr. 85HP out of it.

PS: Iīve never seen a Tractor that burns Kraut. Maybe this could be an alternative Energy?

There is a guy in New Holland Pa that pulls two of those things and they are mean, he knows what screws to turn. His name is John Stauffer, he can tell you what to do.

was one that pulled at the mo state fair several yrs and very very competetive against the other colors and pulled what would be considered hot stock or even pro field now..dont know who it was but will try to find out..was a very surprising tractor and the only one i have seen pull..would be nice to see a few oddities out there but they do cost more as fewer people have done it and figured out all the tricks..lol best of luck and will try to post later

I think the tractor you are referring to was Killin' Time with Wally Kasner at the wheel,he use to pull MO state frquently. The class was pro stock. He took a break but got back into it last fall and will be ready to go this spring.Wally owns Walts Tractor Service in fairview, MO. Wally can make a wheelbar pull!!!!He built a 130-06 for me and it runs the sheet metal from his old pro stock. And he helps repair my stock pullers as well as my farm tractors.

I hope you dont plan on pulling at NAPTA pulls. They seem to be a little afraid of those Kraut Burners.
