I have a Farmall Super C. Last winter i rebuilt the motor after i got her, I had planned on doing some Class II antique pulling just for fun,. I put new 1/8 inch over size piston sleevs and high comp. dome pistons kit in. Replaced all valve springs . and did numerous other replacements and inspections, this included rebuilding goveroner, and all new electrical system (stock 6 V). I did NOT rebuild the carburetor for about 6 months, that tractor would take off in 4th gear pulling a wheelie, but i started to have problems with the carb, Sticking and leaking really bad, soo i bought a NEW one (not rebuilt) i figured "heck i did all this work , why not?" . Well the new carb is "gutless" i would say the tractors power was cut by 35 - 40 percent. Do you have any idea of a different jet kit or something i can do to get that power back?
I really need that power! Let me know ,thanks, mike

Do you still have the old carb? Sounds like you had a bad float or needle and seat. I'd clean it good, relace those and try it again. The new carb may be jetted different or have a smaller air inlet.

Mike, I pull a Super C in Div I stock, it sounds like you have about the same set up as mine. Mine is over jetted just a touch, and pulls great, but tends to foul occasionally when not pulling (I guess this is to be expected). I will see what jets I put in it and let you know. Honestly though, power is not usually an issue. Last year was my 1st year pulling it, and for the most part I never relly got into the upper part of the power band, it usually spun before it got a chance to power out...only once in 12-15 pulls did it power out. Very fun and competitive in #3500-#5000 classes. Really starts to pull well at about #4500. Watch out for the Olie Super 66s, and the JD A's will get you at #5000, and a well set up WD45 will be tough too. I'd try rebuilding the original carb, and see where that gets you. Around here if you wanna tangle in Div II with one, ya gotta run 38" rubber, hang some weight on the front, and run a 240 governor spring. Pete

I would have rebuilt the carb, but it was way past fixing , had a crack and the float bottom out stop is broken ,and non replaceable. (I do still have it) Think the old jets and throught would fit in the new carb? they should they are same model.
