Why do you think 10,000 is needed to bring in pullers? Most of us that have the fever drive uo to 6 hrs for a 5$ trophy.Sure the extra cash is great, but why was it not offered before????Hmmm?
Maybe because attendance is the lowest ever? Maybe because everyone is fed up with the 1 sided rules and the dictatorship that was elected!!Thats right elected ...so vote this bunch of ...fruits out of there!!!Its seems strange, they say attendance is down everywhere, but tis years MS puls were UP in attendance!!!HMMM? The dictators will show thier true side at Columbia!!

Instead of complaining about the NATPA, why don't you just not pull. To me, the ideal of haveing a purse such as this is a welcome change. The chance of winning some of this money is a welcome change. Antique tractor is so popular it is about time us true pullers get the reconigtion we all want for our hobby.

Thanks for your suggestions. But I had previously decided not to pull, without your wonderful guidance. As far as the complaining, there are plenty of people that share my opinion. First, are you a member? Have you pulled with NATPA lately? Ok, go to Columbia, lets seeif you have the same opinion, when you return. 15-20 tractors were in line for tech inspection, 1 IH tractor was parked to the side of the line with no driver, after going over the other tractors with MICROSCOPE,the driver shows up and is allowed to pass with little or no checking, even thuogh his tractor was the subject of huge controversy, this driver was a board member!!!I winessed this myself!!I was not allowed to pull because my hitch was off 3/16 and my wheels were 3/8 to wide, (these were factory metric wheels)I went home made the corrections, only to be told a couple weeks ago, I couldn't pull with NATPA.The reason being my tractor is to new, there is no documentation to substntiate this ruling, neither do I have any to prove it,I have sent for manuals from germany, but have yet to receive them. I WILL pull when I get them!! As far as the money goes, most REAL tractor pullers don't care about the money, they just enjoy it.If my estimations are correct, you might get 50 dollars for 1st place with all the classes!! Don't spend that all in one place , EINSTIEN!! If you have to win to pull, maybe we could take up a few donations for you, just let me know. The point is : NATPA needs to be fair and consistant!! Have a good day.

Don, I think you missed the point. Krauthead was trying to make a point that the rules are altered according to who you are and thats what people are getting fed up with. They dont like driving long distances to be told they cant pull because of some minor infraction when the others (chosen few) can bend the rules to suit themselves. I agree that you must have rules but gimme a break one eighth of an inch too short on the drawbar! Thats a crock! I will take your advice on not pulling. I wouldnt go to a natpa pull if they were giving solid gold trophys. H.H
