Has anyone had a cam redone for a stock engine. I was wondering if any hp could be gained. The eng is a 276 cube case and turns low rpm's. I have shaved the head so has higher comp. Any help would be appreciated.

Just truing up the lifters/cam followers and re-grinding the cam to just stock specs is worth it. An engine isn't rebuilt or restored let alone souped for power with a used stock cam with lots of hours. Unless you eyes are rated in microns even a "good Looking" cam has wear and is loosing power. One of the main reasons why many so called "rebuilt" engines never run correctly.

Call Vogel machine, I don't have their number off hand, but they did our cam, and I am very happy with it.
