I help a friend that owns a race car, we have different jets for different air temps and to adjust how the engine runs. I have a 960 Ford that I am rebuilding-restoring and was thinking of taking it to local tractor pulls, I guess that I'm just hp hungry. I put the engine back mostly back to stock. I have an 8n with electronic ignition in it so I know how it works. Any help would be appreciated.

I pull with a Ford 960. Don't screw it up. You have plenty of horsepower with a stock motor. The challenge is to use that horsepower on the ground. Save your money and look for some good pulling tires. Play with air pressure and placement of weights.

I know most people don't like giving out their tricks, but if you could help me it would be great. I have 13.6 - 28 Goodyear Tires and am working on getting a set of rear pie weights. The tractor also has power adjust rims and a narrow front, I have a wide front that I can put on. Any ideas on were to add weight and how much were.
