How do you test your rig?

I'm interested in starting to pull in an antique division with my wd45 just for giggles and grins. Mainly locally. How do you test your rig to see if you have it weighted correctly? you've got to have a starting point. Pulling heavy stuff arround to see if weight and gearing is correct? I think the old ford would do good in a stock class cause pulling trees out, she just pulls the front end off about a foot or so, and digs in. Good indication I'm ready to give the sled a try?

it's all trial and error. watch some people before you in the class with a similar tractor, and weight it according to how they do.

65% wt. on the rear & 35% wt. on the front is a good starting point[weigh the front then the back end at the same place at one end of the scales]
