For years ,I have wanted to put a v8 engine in a Farmall M tractor....awhile back on another board Some one posted a wide front M with a IHC 345 cu.in. v8.....he did a real nice job,but he ran two chrome pipes up the side....I would like to use the IHC v8 or a Ford, with headers and the exhaust ,down and back under the axels...i want to use a high lift cam to make it sound bad and take away low end tourqe....I would like to hear positive(e-mail) feedback from people who have done this before...I now have a--Allis G ,Farmall H and a Farmall M....the H is rstored the G & M are in the works.....I am disabled and in a wheel chair...I got to do it now(I am 67)thank you all,I want to start collecting parts...Don

The M's rear end and/or the drive shaft will not hold if you let the clutch out to quick on pavement or under load. Seen a guy do it and all he said was Why does it keep shearing shafts off? I don't get it but why waste an M for nothing?

At a tractor show this past summer I saw several M with V-8 in them most of them Chevy. But 1 stands out it had a BLown and Injected Pontiac in it with the header's going down with 4in Flow master mufflers. TALK ABOUT BAD SOUNDING!!
