How many of you guys have or currently own one of these trailers? They are built in Ohio, and I am considering a 20' + 4' gooseneck, 14000#. Looking for opinions.

Also opinions on gooseneck hitches... (I currently have a bumper pull.)

For sure get the gooseneck trailer, you'll wish you had traded the bumper hitch years ago.

Jim
I bought one of these trailers about 3-4 years ago. 20 ft with 4 ft beaver tail 14000 lb rating 5th wheel style. Had a tool box installed by them on frt for 100.00 extra not sure it was worth it but have been quite pleased otherwise. Only had a few minor problems, the wiring leaves a little to be desired . They used scotch lock connectors to put wires together and over time these connectors corrode. I rewired most myself. The main problem I had was getting the trailer. I waited the time period they told me to have it built and then I waited another month. Finally done great they said they could deliver for a price which we agreed upon. Then they had someone that bought a trailer that was comming this way, going to piggyback mine on top. okay fine waited about two more weeks, finally had to go there and get it myself and probably a good thing because there was a couple things they needed to fix while I was there. Otherwise nice trailer Hope this helps

In reference to the hitch I would recommend a Curt. I have installed many of the B&W Hitches as well as the Curt Hitches. Both are built and work well. I prefer the Curt because it has a two leaver spring loaded ball. You pull the leaver to unlock the ball and when you pull the other leaver the ball springs up into position, release the leaver and it is locked in place. When your done pulling, pull the leaver and she disappears back down below the bed surface. You never have to get you hands dirty turning the ball over as with the B&W hitch. Hey I don't mind getting dirty but I hate crawling back into the truck with greasey hands, because I forgot a rag, and get the steering wheel all greasey. The Curt hitch installs just like the B&W and costs the same. Since your from Pa. I would contact Weaver Distributing. They are located in Pa. and sell all kinds of towing products. This is where I purchase the hitches I install for customers.

I'm with G-nut, the b&w turnover hitch works great. Easy to install. Easy to get rid of ball when you want a flat surface. Greg.

I don't know about this brand.. but I would look at a 24ft +4 or 5 tail... we have 2 20 + 5ft tails.. We normally haul one tractor on these trailers.. but sometime we put two on it gets tight.. No problem if they are narrow fronts.. but if not.. one tractors front has to sit on the tail.. (not a problem, but its just nicer to have it sitting flat.) On the hitches.. Dad and I both have the B&W turnover hitch, and like them.. they are easy to install, and no drilling on most brands.. (Dad's 03 Chevy we had to drill 1 hole on each side.) Good Luck,

Thanks guys for all of the input. I will most likely go with one of these trailers... just like the last bumperpull I bought, brought it home and had to change a few things to meet my personal specs. Again thanks for the input... enjoy the season.
