My Super H has two shot 13.6x38 tires on 12 inch rims. I have a good used set of 15.5x38 tires from my 4010. Will they fit on my smaller rims?

I would not put 15.5x38's on anything less than a 14" rim. You can put them on a 12" rims but the outer trend will not all make contact with the ground unless you run a low tire pressure, and with that you run the risk of the inside tread rolling up and not making a good tire print on the ground. A 14" rim will give you the best tread print on the ground, which will mean more traction.

Yes it is physically possible. Depending on where you pull it may be illegal. Some pulls will not let you run tires on the wrong size rims. I got run out of a pull in Noblesville IN about 3 years ago for having 14.9-38's on 14 inch rims. Somebody had to be looking pretty hard to even notice. Funny thing is it was an Oliver Super 88 diesel with wide front and cast iron wheels. Not exactly What you want to run at a percentage pull. For the record I wasn't trying to cheat--we just put those tires on because they were better than what we took off. I didn't even realize what we had anyway. They were using Blue River Valley rules at the time and that's the way it was. I just went to have fun but it didn't work out. Someone probably afraid the Super 88 would whip their backside.

Anyhow; years ago the "tire gods" decided what tire should fit which rim and some pull organizations frown upon it if you show up with someting different.

I have seen 18.4's on 12" rims before with a 15.5
12" would be a good choice depending on your tracks
