Went pullin yesterday and still have a problem with the motor jumpin up and down in rpm's. When were just driving it around and you suddenly pull the throttle back it takes it a minute to rev up. And when we start pulling the sled it does the rpm jump. But as the load gets heavier and heavier it starts to clear up. We are pullin second gear in 4500 and 5000 with a pretty much stock '39 M with a alm. tank and fuel pump if that helps at all. How do we fix this problem????? THANX TO EVRY1 PP

I use a 60 # cot spring on my governor and then you have to expand with a screwdriver in about 3 places to get it to idle down. I think if you go to ACE hardware, they have spring assortments to choose from. Take your old one along and see what you can get. I buy mine from McMaster-Carr out of Chicago. E-mail me if you need the number or look up springs on there website. ----deadeye
