How hard can(rpm's)a c-301 turn with a stock fly wheel? not wanting anything to come apart. just pick up a few extra rpms. would 3500 rpms be out of the question if I use a clutch blanket?

I had one that I turned 4500 plus, stock flywheel. Watch your valvetrain. Valve retainers will take a beating at that rpm.

I had a clutch made for it. It was nothing special just a button type disc. Had no problem with slippage. I had 18-4x38 cut tires and pulled in 3rd gear most of the time.
