Has anyone put 12.4 38's on the 10 inch rim with any sucess? Tractor is strictly stock, plus it's on the max of the weight limit. Tractor is balanced just right, but spins out to soon.I'm thinking a wider tire might help, but am wondering about the 10 inch rim. Would appreciate any input. Bob

My '38 B has 13.6 x 38 Firestone Field & Road tires w/ pressed rims. I think that I would pull better with 36 inch tires??? It always powers out - -I can't get the tires to slip one bit. Any ideas, anyone? The tractor has a power block and a '41 B crank and rods. #71 carb and a K&N filter. I'm open to ideas.

What year is your JD-B and what weight class are you pulling in. I have a 41-B going to run the 12.4x38's, in 3500#. I have a set of 15.5'sx38's that I will probably try also before the summer is out.

I have a 51 "B" gas pulling in the 35 to 4500 lb. class. I pull in first gear with plenty of power. I have a 60 JD with 12.4's that I want to take off and put on the "B", but am really interested in how well the 12 inch will work on the 10 inch rim.

Been using 12.4x38 tires on my "B" since about 1960..... work just fine....!!

PS....I'm going to put 15.5x38's on my JD 520...!! I just want more floatation, and traction for field work...
