Who sleeves two cylinder blocks? I was thinking of boring and sleaving my 70 gas block (which is already cracked in the bore) out far enough to sleave it to fit 730 diesel pistons. I know I would have to turn the piston tops down to get my desired compression ratio. What do you guys think, is this possible? Just tossing some ideas around. thanks Rob SWMN

Why not go with the bolt in 6-1/2" plus powerblock instead of much fiddling and only go to 6-1/8. Have to go to at least 6-1/2" to gain any power. There are some awesome 7+ inch bore after market blocks out there too.

You can bore a gas 70 block to 6.125
Yes, you will have to redo the pins, or cut the 730 rods and weld them to the 70 rod.
If your going to sleeve it, why not go big.
Drop me a e-mail, and I'll give you some numbers for redoing your block.
Good Luck!

don't know if there is enough meat in the block for that. the 70 gas runs a 5-7/8 bore, the 720 is 6-1/8 may get by with thin sleeves. wrist pins would be bigger on the 720. could get right interesting.
