I am curious if an M-5 (gas or diesel) can be made to pull? I know what can be done with a U/UB (bore and stroke), but what about a diesel and putting a turbo on? Are the injection pumps worthless and would heads off a G-900 or 1000 work better regarding a diesel. Back to a gas, does a stroked crankshaft work better than standard if you plan on running a lot of RPM's?

Rather than destroking the crank to limit centrifical force use lighter/stronger components. Titanium rods & lighter pistons.

One pulls in my area that is very tough. He runs 600+cid with 800 square port heads. He also turns alot of RPM for the cubic inches.... around 4500RPM.
