Unfortunately our machinist had a mishap with our block and its unrepairable, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could pick one up and how much. It would be greatly appreciated.

Well what the machinist did was shave the front part of the block right down to the spark plug holes and almost took the threads. I'm pretty sure its unrepaiable. No I'm not giving up the old Allis - Its the only puller that has'nt given us a pile of trouble. Thanks everyone.

What is your block casting # F550???? My advice is raise the comp. some other way. Longer rods, cap the pistons.Which head do you have??

Where are you located? And if you don't mind me asking what are you trying to do with the block? Just curious.

We're from Pa. - And we had the block cut for more comp. but this machinist took entirely to much off one end. So now the end of the block is in the spark plug holes, why he could'nt see this I'm not to sure I did'nt really ask him because I was so mad and did'nt want to hear it.

Spark plug holes.. are you just talking about the backing for the head around the plug holes?? I have seen many block that have been welded or even JB welded in this area because of the same reason.... Don't trash the block just yet.... It may still be good to someone else...

I know of a place, maybe 2 in Central Michigan that would likely have one. Try Taylor Equipment, at (231)-734-5213.
