For the sake of discussion, I was wondering what everyone's favorite bar height was on their cut tires. I have heard many theories, and everyone seems to have an opinion. Around here (northeast Missouri) most folks run around 1/2" or so. What are you running? Mike

I was wondering the same thing. Right now I run about an inch. Was that you at Bloomfield on the 60?

Yes, that was me at Bloomfield. That track was the hardest I have ever seen there, and it is always hard. Too many black marks for me. Did you pull there?

Mike,
The Wilson cuts around here seem to be at the 1 inch mark.Used to be around 1/2 5/8 before. Alot of BF Goodrich 30 deg too!! Hard tire any age.

Thanks for the information. Around my area 1 inch bars wouldn't last too long. They would be torn off on our hard tracks in no time! I see a few 3/4" bars, but never over that. Thanks again.

Mike

Mike: We pull in NY and run 18.4 -38 firestone 23 degree old and hard.Ours were cut by Wilson and have 1" front lug.I think the BFGoodrich hook up better in the light classes 4500-5500 Firestone for 6000 and up ours really bites good in 6500.But you got to have the power to turn the high lugs! Just my opinion. Later Rich
