Does anyone know of an after market header for an AC WD motor? I know they make them for the Farmenall tractors. Has anyone ever built a custom header? Any thoughts will be appreciated!

Building a header isn't hard, designing the header for the application of use is the tough part. You must consider:rpm range of engine, diameter of the primary and secondary tubes and there length, the primary tubes all have to be of equal length and join the seconday tube at the same point. All of this affects how well the header scavenges exhaust gases from the combustion chamber which in turn affects your hp and torque at a given engine rpm.Primary tubes, to large in diameter, will decrease low rpm torque.I have a formula that tells how to figure all this out,if you would like a copy e-mail me and let me know,it also tells more about the affects of different diameter and lengths of the tubes.

In a week or two I could send you a picture of a header built for an IH engine. If it looks good you can contact Mike Stenson via www.fullpullmotorsports.com. I could probably get a wd head for him to measure off of but he would have to guess at where it comes thru the hood.

I watched a guy once build a pair for a hot rod he was building. From what I saw all you need is someone with a good tube bender a saw and drill to build the maounting plates and a welder to put it all together. Seems like we had to build some blocks for the tube bender as the didn't have any with a small enough diameter.

they worked pretty good so I am sure it can be done.
