I went to a set of Firestones from a set of armstrongs. I consistantly pulled 10ft farther with firestones. Never could get ahold of anything with the armstrongs, just to soft of cassings. If I remember right there was 70 lbs difference in weight per tire, Firestones being heavier.

From what I've seen a properly cut Armstrong seems to be one of the best hooking tires there is. I would choose them over any other.

When I put tires on my tractor I wanted to get firestones, but I didn't like their tread style. I ended up buying titans and I have been very impressed with how well they pull.
