Buy a stock super 66 governor and all your problems will be over! Maibach Tractor keeps them in stock for Mr. Gingerich.

Is that the average size of the engines that are laying behind people's shops with a huge hole in the side of them? Those are what I would call a disposable engine!

The question is not "How did you get that much?". The question should be "Why did you go that small"?

"Common" Open class 88 olivers are now OVER 500 cubic inches, with the bulk over them at 540 cubes or greater.

If you are going to the trouble to bore and stroke, why not do it to the max? You can always sort out induction system troubles later...

Regards,

Goldsburg

P.S. 180 HP to 190 HP will now let you finish near the bottom of a "National" Div 4 or 5 Open antique class.

It is done by poking and stroking and inbreeding!!! Sounds like fun doesn't it?

how big of a carb are you running? Try lightening the weights up and running less spring pressure. Sometimes you can fix them by adjusting the screw in the front of the govenor housing. My 3.5 cents!
