Well, this is what I do with my Farmall M. I set the plugs at .035 for a starter. My M was oversized when I bought it so I run the carb pretty rich when I pull and not so rich around the farm. I don't have fluid in my tires, but I ran somewhere around 7-10 lbs. in my tires {14-9-38's}. Another thing you might try is not running with the air cleaner hose connected to the carb, unless you already did that. It will increase air amount without any friction, which the air cleaner could be clogged and reduce your power at any given horse. Good Luck with your H!!

pROBLEM WITH A H IS ITS WT. I HAVE ONE SET OF WHEEL WTS. ON WHEELS AND ONE LAYING ON DRAWBAR ALSO A 60 LB.WT. ON DRAWBAR, WITH ME ON IT WT.IS VERY CLOSE TO 4600 LB.THEIR IS NOT ENOUGH WT. THAT I CAN TAKE OFF WITH LITTLE EFFORT TO GET IN THE 3600 LB. CLASS, SO YOU ARE PULLING AGINST TRACTORS WITH MUCH MORE HORSEPOWER. IF YOUR TRACTOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE YOU WILL DO WELL ON A SOFT TRACK BUT WILL POWER OUT ON A HARD ONE.I THINK 9 TO 10 POUNDS IN TIRES IS ABOUT RIGHT, DONT KNOW ABOUT FLUID IN TIRES,

First loose the fluid in the tires.Second,if the tractor is stock then set the governor, carburater, spark plug gap,and timing to factory settings.Pull in 1st & 2nd gear,2nd in light class 1st in heavy class.Try to pull in div.1,which is normally for your basic stock tractors.Go to the pulls and have a good time, don't worry about winning everything,it AIN'T gonna happen.Make friends with fellow pullers and ask for advice, they will help you.I don't have enough time to tell you everything I've learned in my 25 years of pulling and alot of can only be learned through expirience.Just remember this is all for fun, you're not gonna make a living at it.
