Been considering recreational pulling for some time. Kinda partial to Oliver and was thinking of an Oliver 88. Think that would give me a platform I could eventually build out if I want to become very competitive. Seeking y'alls input.

Right now my rigs consist of a Oliver 550 Dsl, AC D10 and Farmall 140. All are used mainly for chore work and U-pick operation. Nothing I would really consider a pulling rig.

I'm partial to red and orange but if you have to go green, go oliver. for what its worth I recomend the lighter classes, 2500 up to 3500. you dont have to lug 1000's of pounds of weight to pull multipul classes. AC CA, Farmall C, Oliver 60

we pull a 88 and a ub moline. the 88 can really turn the rpms. the moline can be easier and cheaper to build a big motor with. just putting the ub back together with all the goodies. both a load of fun.

the Oliver 88 is an exellent choice for a puller either stock or modifed. With pressed steel wheels front and rear they will make the 4500# class. I pull the "other" green tractor, but you should pull what you like and are familar with. Have fun! Mike

Good choice for heavier classes, or could use a 77 for lighter classes. I use a 66 for 3000,3200,3500,and 4000. Have a ball!!!
