Lee,

I just used steel pipe cut to the same length that slips over the bolts. Once everything is tight, you will have more than enough support for the front of the motor.

Lee;
How much do your iron mounting brackets weigh? Removing the cast, you would maybe loose 30 lbs. Add back the weight of the aluminum (plus the cost), your not achieving much of a goal. Are you trying to make a specific weight class? Maybe consider replacing the stock fuel tank, (if you haven't already), use aluminum rims, aluminum weight brackets, etc. We are running 90 horse in div 3 with our H, and can not get it to hook to a track in 3750. Sit and spin all day running 18.4 x 34 cuts. The front end also is extremely light with the fuel tank, pump, and iron weight bracket (plus 150 lbs. of weight), all being to the front. We have better luck in the 4000 up classes. These are just personal experiences, so they might mean a whole lot. From reading your past posts, and I believe you may have bought a crank from me, I think you will be bigger than the 90 horse. Just thought I would share some insight. Good luck with your project! If you have any questions send me an e-mail!
