Same power plant as Super M, but same weight
as your dad's 560. Shipping weight dry is about
5,950lbs. Unfortunately the 850lbs it carries extra over the Super M is not excatly were it should be. Hard clay track with hard 23 degree
16.9 X 38 Firestones and 1st gear torque back
about 1.6-1.7 mph you might sneak it out ballasted
up to 7,500. 6,500 is usually owned by big Molines, and you simply can not make their torque
numbers without spending some serious cash.

I have a Super M w/ a 298 CID, 4-1/4 piston w/ stock stroke, 16.9-38 Super All Traction F & R and YES you can compete with Molines!! I pull up to 9200 lbs and am very successful. I've outpulled 730 JD's, 600 Cases, 560 Farmalls, UB adn G Molines, and even a 98 Massey. It makes 70-72 Dyno Horsepower depending on the weather. If you do it yourself, you can build on of these for about $2500. Of course there are a few tricks you have to figure out but 70 is about the most you will get from a stock stroke engine and staying our of the water jacket. If you can get 58-60 HP you can pull up to 10,500# on the low side. I built an engine for friend and He runs 18.4-38 and has had a lot of success. Of the farmalls, the M-450's are the best stock tractors. 460's and 560's make good super stock tractors but not much on stock classes. From what I've seen they just don't have the lug that the 4 cylinders do. I'm sure there are those that would argue but this is just from what I've seen and out-pulled!!
