I just bought a 60 about a month ago and want to pull it at the local pulls. I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice on pulling and how I might be able to get more power whithout spending a fortune. Thanks for help.

I have a 50 that I pull and with the low first gear you don't have to have a lot of power. You can mess with the governer get a few more rpm's but the tractor should have plenty of power to pull in the stock class. I have pulled my 50 from the 4500-6500 lb classes and placed in all of them. You may want to build weight brackets for the front, mine likes to lift up, but a couple of weights cures it. Good luck and have fun.

Have you got access to a dyno?If so you could tweak the carb and distributor and get her up to top running condition. It should(STOCK)have 40 plus hp and spin out with 15.5's just about anywhere, just hold the front end down.Good luck and have fun with that ole 60.

If you are just pulling in the stock class, you wont need any more power in first gear they have a slow firt gear and plenty of power just like they are for stock classes, they only go 1.5 miles per hour in first gear, so if it runs good and has good stock power then just pull it like it is and it is alot cheaper that way also

Yeah just go stock , if it runs good for you now , just get good balance, on it, our club doesnt allow for front weight on the stock tractors, but they do allow a belly bar, for 6500 use about 150 and about 350 for 7500,and put the rest on the back end, that is also with stock drawabar setup, I never hurt for power and it isnt a fancy motor, just runs good for me, good luck,
