Our pulls usually are 10.00 per hook, once in a while 15.00. The sponsoring organization gets the sled, or we know a few phone # to call, We have a scale or use the sponsors. Sometimes there is a one dollar donation towards scale rental. We do a 100% payback,on the semi-stock and open classes, the virgin stock classes get ribbons. The sponsor making the money on food and drink, and if they include a flea market they make off lot rent.We have enough of the same people at the pulls that we usually help run the event if necessary.

when our club is asked to put on a pull we require a few things. The people asking are required to pay sled fee, usually $300.00, supply trophies and insurance. Our club receives hook fee's, $5.00 per hook, and works the pull. So far it has worked out great. It takes alot of worries from the club and the organizers raise money from advertisers to cover their end.

All the pulls that the club I belong to charges $ 10 per hook. By the time the sponsoring organization pays the club rental fee for the sled, trophies for Div. 2 and 50% payback in Div. 3--it takes about 75 hooks to break even. When an organiztion askes about having a pull, I tell them that the pull itself is at best a break-even event. The profit comes from food and drink sales. It is amazing that entry fees are not higher and in the $20 range ---I was paying $5 to $10 per hook 30 years ago.
