I have a farmall cub. I had it weighed at the mill and with the wheel weights, water in the tires, and my home built weights I have it up to 5000#. I pull it in 2nd gear, but still can't seem to get any traction and it spins out when the box hits the top on our 26,000 # sled. I can get past the Deere As but them farmall Ms still wip me. any suggestions????

My little brother Jed sure is fuill of it! He's just upset because he cant beat my John Deere H. Last year my h was about stock. Over the winter I put a 466 Deere motor out of my 4055 in it. I am thinking about putting another turbo on it. Do you guys think the motor is going to hang together. I really hate the fact that I cant get it in the 2750 class anymore. Theyll only let me pull in 9500 an 10500. Oh well I still love the sport of B S-ing or I mean tractor pulling.

My suggestion is to buy a Super M and put Cub decals on it. If you do this, I'm sure you'll be happy!!

Our club in Mid Missouri won't allow IH Cubs, JD H, Massey Ponys, Case vac, and Allis B&C to even pull below 5500# because they kicked everyone's butt. The consistant winners were running 18.4X38's in second and third gear. Mike

Boy, Ha Ha Ha, I would surely like to see that. A cub that can out pull a tractor 3 or more times it's weight that would be stripped down, man, I just can't stop laughing. For one, I don't think that the axel{s} would hold the weight, now along the sled. My M that is suped up can't even get the weight up onto the 3/4 mark where the weight moves forward, and I place in the top 5. Boy, that one is for the book, HaHaHa!!

Maybe your pulling the wrong sled. Just because you never built a Cub with 317 cubes don't mean others haven't. I don't have axle problems, just broke one final drive housing one time. My cub looks stock with a bunch of weights hanging and a 3 inch stack and a 1-5/8" carb. Besides that it looks ready to mow the grass.

Maybe if you take the 24.5X32s off and try some 20.8 X38s the narrower tread will get more bite for that C ub. Or weight it up to 7500 lbs.
