UH HUH!!! and my 1918 Farmall M came with pressed steel wheels all around, aluminum frame rails, a 20lb adjustable hitch, 420+ c.i., dry element filter, and a aluminum foot plate. I had to special order the cut tires with em though

All jokes aside,I would like to hear it run and see how it compared to Ollies,460,560 Farmalls, and them big ole 6 cylinder Molines,Cases. It would be a first for me.

Most NATPA pullers have to follow the rules, but not Bill Bear. The other NATPA officers refuse to fix the problem and NATPA pullers are still paying the entry fees. Is a 1959 JD 5010 any different from what he is doing now? Why does this suprise you? The funny thing is that the NATPA pullers are the ones paying for it.

He is confused (Bear). Here he sets out to build the ultimate div 5 rig and now doesn't have it! Poor Billy! I heard he found a 1959 7810 Deere and is fixing it up!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

That must be a pre-production 5010 as they didn't come out from John Deere till either 62 or 63

Bill, has recently acquired a time machine, went back and talked to the boys at Deere,no big deal, happens all the time.Things are different for Bill, just like with the IH!!! All of the rule infractions were brought to the atttention,of the NATPA officials, what happened...NOTHING!!!I asked one tech official about this at Columbia, last fall.I told him, your going over mine with a microscope, what about Bears? You know whats being said.He stated,"I am not gonna pass it,someone else will have to"!!!!
So,that should say enough!!

I'd just love to see your "proof" that a prototype 5010 built in 1959 is a "Production" tractor, with a "production" serial number!! If it indeed is, which I seriously doubt, I can't imagine Deere letting go of it, or somebody being dumb enough to butcher it into a "pulling" tractor---but then, nobody has ever accused a tractor puller of being smart, either!

Why would he need proof? Who is going to kick him out? No one here or in the NATPA has the balls to stand up to him. Bill can do whatever he wants to do,and all you little girls will do is just watch.

I like John Deere myself, but there is no way that I think that he has a 1959 John Deere 5010, they were not in production at the time, they came out with the new generation in July of 1960 and the 5010 wasn't introduced at that time, so they were brought in later so no way is it a 1959, I don't care what documentation you claim to have, it sounds like someone is trying to get away with rule bending, probably the classes only let tractors pull that were pre 1960 and no way is a John Deere 5010 pre 1960, but some people are win at all costs, I just don't think that way

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU I HAVE ALOT OF ORIGINAL JOHN DEERE PARTS MANUALS,SERIALNUMBERS, HISTORY, SPECIAL EQUIPMENT SPECS. ETC. ETC. ANYWAY, I RESEARCHED THIS 59 5010, AND THE EARLIEST PRODUCTION YEAR FOR THE 5010 WAS LATE 1960 AND THEY SOLD THEM IN 1961. I DON'T BELIVE ANY JD5010'S WERE SPECIAL EQIPMENT, AND IF IT WAS IT WOULD EITHER BE A 3010 OR A 4010. JUST DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND LOOK UP THE INFORMATION FOR YOURSELF. OL BILL IS JUST TRYING TO PULL A FAST ONE ON EVERYONE.

I agree, I would think that JD would want it on display somewhere. Not at some chop shop. If this is true I wonder how light its going to be? My buddy pulls a 5010 in the superfarm div and can't carry much weight at 9000 lbs.
