Looking into building a new tractor for next year, either a JD 70D or 720D. Wanting to find a big bore block, custom pistons, injectors and pumps to match, and have the cam done. Seen others like this but do not know where they got the parts and the work done. Switching to diesel for a cheeper fuel bill. Other brands of tractors out of the question incase you are wondering. Thanks for all help!

One place you might start with is the 2 Cylinder Diesel Shop. They claim in the Hook Magazine to specialize in diesel performance tractors for Pulling.

From personal experiance, I will tell you to stay away from Roger Marlin and the 2-Cylinder Diesel Shop in Missouri. I sent him my 820's damaged 10mm pumps and fuel rail. We agreed on a set of rebuild 13mm pumps as a replacement. Well, I got back 13mm pumps but I doubt if they were rebuilt, and I know he didn't calibrate them on a flow bench. If he would have tested them, he would have seen that both pumps leaked where they mount to the fuel rail. I tried to tighten the bolts, but they still leaked. I found that the bolts he used had bottomed out in the fuel rail.

The next set I have done will got to 2-Cylinder Salvage in Conway, MO or out to Albert. I came to this decision after speaking to both of these venders at the last two cylinder expo in New York.

As a side note, the editor of the Hook magizine is Roger Marlin's wife.
