I would like to have an idea of what the shipping weight is of the AC 180. Do you think it will be light in the front end with the draw bar in the forward position?

I have been pulling a 185 (same as a 180) for quite a few years, we started farmstock and presently run with 2 turbos in the superstock classes. On a stock 180 with original 28 or 30 inch tires, RUN YOUR DRAWBAR LONG AND TO MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE HEIGHT!!!!! 180'S are very frontend heavy, if you are planning on leaving everthing original you will have to run the long drawbar, if you run it short I guarentee you will sit and spin way behind the competition. If you need some other advice I would be more than happy to help.

YOUR FRONT WILL NOT BE LIGHT..MORE OF AN ANCHOR..I PULLED ONE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS..WE TOOK OUT THE SQUARE CASTING AND BUILT A REPLACEMENT OUT OF 3/8 PLATE...I THINK WE LOST 225 POUNDS..THEN YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO ADD BACK SUITCASE WEIGHTS..YOU NEED THE BRACKET TO HELP STABILIZE THE FRONT WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL CASTING.. PULLED AT 6000 POUNDS WITH MAYBE ONE OR TWO WEIGHTS IN FRONT..MARK

I believe the shipping weight of the 180 was
7,200 to 7,400 lbs. As for the light front I doubt
it my XT ONE-NINETY doesn't. What about your
drawbar height check that in standard form mine
was only 15". Get it up to the max permissable.
Some sleds require 18" others 20" the get as close
to axle as possible most 180 like all other allis
have the small tire problem but balance excellent.
Remember most sled operator's allow you to rehook
if you stop before the 50 foot mark. Also remember
the 180 has restricted fuel flow from factory to
reduce hp. They need to keep a gap from the 180
to 190 for sales reasons.
