Since that type of tractor is quite rare, I don't think putting it in a tractor pull is such a good idea since you are risking tearing it up. I know I have no right to tell you what to do with your tractor nor do I know much about tractor pulling, but we've spent several years looking for a cockshutt 50 and have had no luck. Again, this is just something to think about. Good luck.

Your looking in the wrong places then. Look in Manitoba or Sasketchawon Canada. I personaly went to a auction near Moosimin, Sk and saw 30's going for $300. and running ones from $500. to a high of $750. for a running, very straight, NF tractor with new rubber. 40's from $500. to $1200. And 50's from $700. to $1500. There were about a dozen 30's and ten 40's and eight 50's even a 50 grader. I didnt think things were going to go so cheap or I'd have brought a semi truck and a bankroll! We did get the only 20 that was on the bill, an early 1952 with the 124 conntinental. All the prices were in american funds. Good luck.

Mine weighs around 5300 with Andrew on it (200#) and the HEAVY 34" cast wheels. Have the long row crop axles on back. Adapted a Cockshutt 30 narrow front to it. Think I could get down to 4500# if I work at it.

Instead, why dont you weight it up. They have enough power and the perfect size. My E5 was weighing about 6,900, but still needed to be in that 8,500 lb class. had wide front and 18.4X34 tires.

Where I pull we have a r johndeere in 6500, and a bunch of 830's, super 99's, and G-6's in 7500. Its bad enough with all the u molines and g johndeeres in 5500, which are all stock, right....!!!!

No problem getting one into the 5,000 lb. class. Take your PTO out, put pressed steel on front and rear and you should weigh somewhere around 4800.
