Not a 65, but I have pulled a gas Massey in stock class. I pull 6500, 7000, 7500. Have never run out of power, even on a hard track where you can lay down the HP. Better to pull in 2nd if your club will allow. The 1st is really a granny gear and does not generate any sled momentum. Tractor transfers weight well, so front end comes up pretty easily when tires bite, so have to work weights properly. My opinion, try it. I'd say you could be in the 4200# class or close to it.

Jerry, Which model of the MF 65 are you working on? The utility with 28 inch rears or the row crop with 38 inch rears? There is a big difference in the weight of the front ends of these two models. Also, are you using the diesel or the Continental gas motor?
