Thanks to everyone that responded below to my tractor question. I want to know alittle more about this HD 800 engine. First off is that the tractor model{HD800}j or is that the engine model itself, and if so what tractors are they out of?? How is this engine in regards to RPM's. It sounds pretty big bore, so does it have to be turning more than 3,000 RPM's before decent power is obtained? My Idea of what I would like to have is something between 120 and 150 Hp. The reason why I ask is that if it turns more than 3,000, than I will need a machined flywheel, or extra safety equiptment, scatter shilds, or blankets and the like, to keep within the few rules that the club pulls by. Get me on the right page here, so I'll at least know what I need to come up with. Thanks again, Greg H.

sorry, another stupid question I forgot to ask. Is the HD800 engine a gas or Diesel engine? I know MM made referrence to a LP engine, but I was wanting to know what else was available? Thanks Greg H.

The HD800 motor is mainly used for irrigation. MM did put some of these motors in their four wheel drive tractors. The motor you need is the irrigation motor.
It is a LP or natural gas motor. Sorry, no diesel. You can run gas if you can find a big enough carburator. The motor will make max power around 1800 RPM. High RPM is 2400.
