I have just started pulling a wd allis. And the clutch was slipping so i replaced the foot clutch with a six pack clutch and nine spring pressure plate from napa. At my first pull the sled was real hard to start the tractor wanted to flip over or kill so i ended up slipping the hand chutch to get it started. I pulled two more times after that and the clutch seemed to slip just after i got the sled started but was ok the rest of the way down the track. Is that normal? Or is my hand clutch starting to give me trouble. What can i do to tell and how can i fix it. Thanks to all for the help. Bruce

I had wd with a stronger clutch in it, it was a button style clutch disk, I had to break it in so it grabbed correctly. It slipped when you put a load on it until it got properly broke in. Check your throwout bearing adjustment, it may not be letting the clutch fully enguage. How many horsepower does your allis have?
