Is it standard with power steering to weigh that heavy? In order to turn those tall 16.9x38 tires with that fast 1st gear on a sticky track, she will have to be tuned up a little even in the 6500lb class. Is this working tractor or pulling only?

Dan- do you want to keep your tractor close to stock or go hog wild with it? I can give you some ideas to try if you're want to get to 5500#. The pressed steel wheels will get you to 6500 wiyh some to spare. Check a 3020/4020 axle size to see if it's the same as a 70, hubs for those might fit. Mike

G Taylor 1 weld on 1/2" plate for hubs, cut off axles as short as possible. 2 remove rear basic housing, replace with sheet metal cover. 3 small platform, 2" conduit for seat mount, pan seat. 4 use a 1-2 gallon gas tank. 5 remove fan shaft and raditor-you can get 2 hooks wothout boiling if you keep run time to a bare minimum. 6 lightweight front hubs and Weld Draglite rims. Mix and match as\your rules/budget allows. Mike

Also remove the air cleaner and go to a dry type element. Like Mike said remove the rear stuff, or the complete housing, and have one made out of a thin metal, or find one made of AL... On the hubs, look for a set of clamp on dual hubs, and a set of pressed wheels. Also look for a LP manifold.. but I'm goin to gt started on th HP stuff.. U can do lots of things, just depends on how much $$$$ U want to spend.. JDGnut

Hi Mike, send me your e-mail and I'll tell you about the State Fair in Sedalia...Probably 300 hooks and rain delays.
